Runyang You

I am Runyang You, a first-year Ph.D. student at the NLP Group of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, co-supervised by Prof. Wenjie Li (Maggie) and Prof. Yongqi Li. I received my M.Sc. from University College London (2023) and my B.Sc. from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (2022).

Research

My work spans two directions:

• LLM Reasoning — I study how reasoning can make language models both more efficient and more useful: accelerating inference with latent reasoning (ACL'26) , and extending reasoning into recommendation (NeurIPS'25).

• LLM Agents — I investigate whether LLM agents can act as reliable judges for evaluating complex AI systems (arXiv'26).
